National Standard Designs & Photo Records

In 2009, I founded National Standard Designs for Korea, a transformative initiative that sought to redefine the landscape of design within the country. Over the years, my work has shaped aesthetic preferences and profoundly influenced societal values and cultural dynamics. By carefully studying the intersection of design and cultural behavior, I identified key trends that would resonate with the public, allowing my designs to foster a more profound sense of community, belonging, and national pride.

My commitment to understanding the implications of design goes beyond mere aesthetics; it encompasses a vision for how design can strategically impact society. Through meticulous research, I’ve explored how design choices can evoke emotional responses and drive cultural changes, ultimately contributing to a reinforced sense of national identity and effective branding for Korea on a global scale.

Since the inception of this initiative in 2009, I have been dedicated to documenting my journey and the evolution of my designs across various contexts. I refer to this project as “Journey of a Design: Revealing a Heartfelt Story of Public Design,” which captures the visual aspects of my work and the stories and intentions behind each piece. This ongoing project includes meticulously curated galleries that display selected photographs and narratives from my recorded experiences, each representing a chapter in this continuous journey. As I move forward, I remain committed to further exploring and expanding the influence of design in our society, with no definitive end in sight.
