Event Identity and Poster Design for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)
THE CHALLENGE
Need a strong event identity
The Korea Tourism Organization needed a strong event identity to promote the tourism storytelling contest in a fun and fresh interpretation of domestic tourism resources.
THE SOLUTION
Mosaic tourism experience
Attractive tourist attractions are not only created by ‘great natural and artificial landscapes,’ but also by ‘storytelling’ being added to tourist attractions and awareness. Now, tourist destinations must fit well with tourist destinations and create a scene in which sink deep into tourists’ hearts. My strategy and montage/collage illustration are about the story of a tourist site that is like a mosaic, which individual stories seem to be separate, woven with one emotion. The black exclamation mark in the illustration signifies an experience that is created when visitors experience each story together. In other words, it is a combination of the imagination of tourist attractions, hands-on experience at tourist attractions, and return to reality.
THE MINDSET
Increasing submissions
The beautiful stories are at every step. When more travelers know about the location, and more exciting and curious stories about the site are, the travelers can find themselves in the story. If we share the story, we can see the identity of Korean tourism.
Responsibilities: consulting, research, interviews, concept, slogan, logo, typography, montage/collage illustration, image correction, color correction, layout design, comprehensive design, production design, pre-press, and press-check.
