Initiated a Typeface and Font Design Since 1995
THE CHALLENGE
Personal signature typeface
Typefaces represent an idea, culture, time, and history. Throughout history, typefaces have become stereotypes in delivering messages. Some typeface features represent concepts, but as globalization occurs, stereotypical designs no longer significantly reflect those concepts.

THE SOLUTION
The key letterforms
I used curvilinear brush-stroke lines when painting the letters. Elegance, loyalty, and nature are the key elements of the letterforms. I began designing ‘AC Young’ in 1995, and I continue to reach its perfection.
THE MINDSET
No more stereotypes
I named the typeface based on my name, ‘Albert Young Choi.’ I named it ‘AC Young’ to emphasize its spirit: ‘Young.’
